A Week in the Shire

Towards the end of September, I had the absolute pleasure of dog sitting two delightful sprocker spaniels; Evie and Tia. To my delight, this entailed housekeeping the cosiest, most secluded home in the heart of the Banffshire countryside. Banffshire has always held a special place in my heart, with no shortage of breathtaking coastal landscapes, charming wee towns and villages, and the people are pretty great too!

Unfortunately, for the month prior, I had been struggling horrendously with my eczema, leaving me unfit to work and unable to leave my house for days at a time. This had really done a number on my mental and physical health, and so after a much sought after dermatologist appointment, I was good to go. Much to my delight, this fell in line with the week we had planned in Turriff. Just what the doctor had ordered!

To say that this week was amazing would quite honestly be an understatement. The time spent with the dogs, nature and friendly faces was everything I needed and more after a tough number of weeks at home. I didn't pick up my camera an awful lot, though I feel this is often indicative of the joy felt in being fully present. However, it wouldn't be fair to not share a little something of our adventures away. ;)

Hope you enjoy the little photographic insight into our week. Back to reality we go.
